Outletcity Metzingen Reopening after shutdown

All stores and most food & beverage outlets of Outletcity Metzingen were closed on March 18th following restrictions to control the COVID-19 pandemic. According to current regulations by the authorities, stores of less than 800 square metres sales area are permitted to reopen as of April 20th on the basis of strict health & safety measures. 

"Our most important and main task is to provide our guests and staff with a safe environment whilst at the same time ensuring a comfortable work environment and a positive shopping experience." stated Regine Schoellkopf-Pinakidis, Director Sales Channel Classic at Holy AG. 

Holy AG, the operator of Outletcity Metzingen, expects the majority of stores and service areas to open on Friday April 24th, 2020- Food & beverage outlets will offer take-away where feasible (as restaurants are not yet allowed to open). 

It is possible that not all brands will manage to complete their reopening preparations by then and a few stores might not be able to open due to the space restrictions, therefore guests are kindly asked to check current information on in advance. 

The brand partners and Holy AG are putting the following measures in place amongst others:

- Several Care Points are being set up throughout Outletcity Metzingen where disposable face masks and disposable gloves will be provided free of charge and visitors receive comprehensive information on safety measures. In addition, several disinfectant stations are being installed and additional service staff will be available across Outletcity Metzingen to answer questions. 

- Cleaning intervals are being strongly increased throughout Outletcity Metzingen. 

- Inside the stores all required hygiene measures are implemented. These include amongst others clear protection screens at cash desks, spacing markings and disinfectant stations. Chashless payment is possible in all stores and food & beverage outlets. In addition, the requirements for visitor management are being met. 

- Prior to their visit guests may obtain details on the special measures put in place, the volume of visitors and further information on the website
